As per the Performance and Tuning Guide for OpsCenter, I have defragmented the database manually. I want to set it up to be done automatically though. The issue with automatic defragmentation is that the server running OpsCenter is monitored by SCOM 2012. So, I need to disable the monitoring of either OpsCenter (perferably) or the whole server (Win 2012 R2).
The defragmentation process runs around 55-60 minutes and shuts down the database, opscenter server and the opscenter GUI (webserver).
What does the community do to automate the process? Has anyone done it for a similar environment where SCOM is monitoring the server?
If possible, it would be great to not to have to install the SCOM client on the server to be able to use the OpsManager powershell.
